Boars can be hunted for from the first half of May to the first half of January, approaching or awaiting during a full moon. However, there are two most optimal periods for hunting: 1. The first half of August – at this time boars search for fresh succulent oats, which is a real delicacy for them. 2. Winter months: November, December and January when boars prey intensively. Boars living in Belarus reach the weight of even 300 kg, and this can surely influence every hunter’s imagination. As a matter of fact in Belarus one can expect to find boars with tusks ranging from 190 and 230 mm.
