Moose can be successfully hunted for in two periods. During the moose mating season in September and in November, after the first ground frost when moose leaves swampy areas and go to dry pine plant communities and big woods. As a matter of fact one can expect moose trophies ranging from 6 and 11 kg and if Saint Hubert brings them luck, a hunter can even come across the individuals reaching the weight of 14 kg!
